Welcome to Barrie Junk Co. These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of our website and junk removal services. By using our website, requesting a quote, or booking services, you agree to these Terms, along with our Privacy Policy and Service Agreement. If you do not agree, please do not use our website or services.

  1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing our website or engaging our services, you confirm that you have read, understood, and accepted these Terms of Service and our Service Agreement. These Terms apply to all website visitors and customers.

  2. Services Provided
Barrie Junk Co. provides residential and commercial junk removal services at the address supplied by the customer. Services include the removal of items approved by Barrie Junk Co., as outlined on our website. Services are considered complete once the agreed-upon items have been removed from the property, regardless of the final appearance of the area.

We reserve the right to refuse or discontinue service if unsafe conditions, hazardous materials, prohibited items, or circumstances beyond reasonable control are encountered.

  3. Pricing and Estimates
Our standard pricing is based on volume:
$2.25 per cubic foot for the first 100 cubic feet
$1.55 per cubic foot beyond 100 cubic feet
Minimum service fee: $98 per pickup

Certain heavy or dense materials, including but not limited to concrete, tiles, pavers, bricks, pressure-treated lumber, gravel, and soil, are subject to a double-rate surcharge due to disposal costs.

All pricing provided prior to service is an estimate only. Final pricing is determined on site after reviewing the items to be removed and may differ from initial estimates. All fees are subject to HST.

Pickups outside the City of Barrie may be subject to an additional travel fee based on distance, time, and fuel costs. Travel fees will be disclosed prior to service whenever possible and added to the final invoice.

  4. Payment Terms
Payment is due within one (1) business day following completion of services. Late payments are subject to interest at a rate of 5 percent per month, compounded monthly, until paid in full. We reserve the right to pre-authorize and charge the payment method provided upon completion of service.

  5. Non-Payment and Chargebacks
Customers are responsible for all reasonable costs incurred in collecting overdue payments, including administrative fees, collection agency fees, and legal costs where permitted by law.

Any payment dispute or chargeback must be submitted within five (5) business days of service completion. Initiating a chargeback does not relieve the customer of the obligation to pay for services rendered.

  6. Cancellations and Rescheduling
Customers may cancel or reschedule their service up to 12 hours before the scheduled pickup without penalty. Cancellations or rescheduling requests made within 12 hours of the scheduled service may incur a $25 rebooking fee.

  7. Customer Responsibilities and Access
Customers must provide safe, reasonable, and unobstructed access to all areas where items are to be removed. Customers agree to identify and disclose any hazards, fragile structures, underground utilities, bio-hazards, or unsafe conditions prior to service.

  8. Ownership of Items
The customer affirms that all items presented for removal are either personally owned or that they have full legal authority to dispose of them. Barrie Junk Co. does not verify ownership and assumes no liability for the removal of items belonging to third parties.

The customer agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Barrie Junk Co. from any claims, disputes, or legal actions arising from unauthorized disposal of items.

If the customer is not present during service, Barrie Junk Co. may proceed based on prior instructions, and the customer accepts all resulting charges.

  9. Liability and Property Damage
While Barrie Junk Co. takes reasonable care during the removal process, the customer acknowledges that some damage may occur
when moving large or bulky items.

Barrie Junk Co. is not liable for damage to landscaping, driveways, fences, or other property, including damage caused by vehicles or equipment. We are not responsible for pre-existing damage, including cracks, weakened structures, surface defects, or hidden conditions.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Barrie Junk Co.’s total liability shall not exceed the amount paid for the services rendered. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages.

  10. Disposal Practices
Barrie Junk Co. aims to dispose of items in an environmentally responsible manner by donating or recycling whenever possible. Certain items may be declined based on disposal regulations, as listed on our website.

  11. Photos and Marketing Media
Barrie Junk Co. may capture photos or videos, including time-lapse footage, of the junk removal process for marketing and promotional purposes. Media will not include faces, addresses, license plates, or other personally identifiable information.

Customers who prefer that no photos or videos be taken must notify Barrie Junk Co. in writing prior to the start of service. All captured media remains the property of Barrie Junk Co. unless otherwise required by law.

  12. Intellectual Property
All website content, including text, logos, graphics, and images, is the property of Barrie Junk Co. and may not be reproduced, distributed, or used without prior written permission.

  13. Force Majeure
Barrie Junk Co. is not liable for delays or failure to perform services due to events beyond reasonable control, including severe weather, vehicle breakdowns, traffic conditions, road closures, labor disruptions, or government actions.

  14. Termination of Service
We reserve the right to deny or terminate access to our services for any reason, including violation of these Terms or unsafe working conditions.

  15. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

  16. Governing Law
These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada. Any disputes shall be resolved in Ontario courts.

  17. Changes to These Terms
Barrie Junk Co. may update these Terms from time to time. Updates will be posted on this page with a revised “Last Updated” date. Continued use of our website or services constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
